Program Overview Course Dates: June 6 – 20, 2026

Through the 2026 summer program at Shinshu University in Japan, you will gain first-hand experience in understanding global food production and distribution processes, fostering a deeper appreciation for diverse agricultural practices and their socio-economic and environmental impacts.

*Students will be responsible for their own air transportation arrangements and costs.

Academic Credit

Receive credit for: 

JAPN 199: Sustainable management of food, agriculture and environment at Shinshu University (Internship)

Prerequisites: Japanese Language Proficiency – Survival Japanese (Preference will be given to those who have completed at least two years of Japanese language by Spring 2026).

Open to undergraduate and graduate students.
