Overview
  The College of Continuing Education follows policy guidelines set
  by our university, the CSU system, the State of California and
  federal regulations.

  Social Security Number
  CCE does not require a social security number as an individual
  identifier for its student records.
  Privacy Act
  Sacramento State is authorized under the Federal Family Education
  Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 to release to the public directory
  information concerning students. Directory information includes
  the student’s name, address, telephone number, date and place of
  birth and other pertinent information. The above information is
  subject to release by the campus at any time unless the campus
  has received prior written objection from the student specifying
  information which the student requests not be released. Consent
  may be withdrawn by the student during each semester of
  attendance. To withdraw consent the student needs to complete the
  appropriate forms at the registrar’s service window. For details,

  Tax Credits
  If you are enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program
  or are taking courses to acquire or improve job skills, you may
  qualify for a Hope
  Scholarship or Lifetime Learning Tax Credit. The Hope
  Scholarship is available only to students in the first two years
  of post-secondary education who are enrolled at least half time
  in an eligible program. The Lifetime Learning Tax Credit is
  available to students at all educational and enrollment levels
  who are enrolled at an eligible educational institution. The tax
  credits are based on the amount of qualified tuition and fees,
  less grants and other tax-free educational assistance, and the
  taxpayer’s modified adjusted gross income. Consult IRS
  Publication 970 or your tax advisor for additional information.
  Campus Security and Crime Statistics
  In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security
  Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, 
  Sacramento State has made crime statistics available here.
  Reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus
  buildings or property owned or controlled by Sacramento State and
  on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and
  accessible from the campus, during the last three years are
  included. The report also includes institutional policies
  concerning campus security, alcohol and drug use, crime
  prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault and other
  safety matters. Print copies are available in the Library and by
  request from the Office of Public Safety and the Office of the
  Vice President for Student Affairs.
  Statement for Quality Standards
  College of Continuing Education programs are viewed as extensions
  of the University’s educational services and are in concert with
  the institution’s overall mission and purpose. Classes are
  expected to meet the standards and quality which the institution
  sets for its other programs and courses, in terms of resources,
  faculty level of instruction, evaluation and support services.
