Structure

Students transfer in lower-division general education and lower-division major requirements, and complete all upper-division coursework through the Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree completion program. Courses are six to eight weeks long and are fully online.  You can view the Psychology major requirements and course descriptions in the Sac State catalog

This degree completion program is designed specifically for working adults, offering the flexibility to take classes while still balancing all of life’s other responsibilities. This program is offered 100% online. Students typically take 6-12 units each semester. This program is not cohort-based, so you can take as few as 1 class per year. Upper division General Education (GE) courses are also offered in this program to cover university graduation requirements outside of the major.

If you are looking for a full-time, on-campus degree program, we recommend the traditional bachelor’s degree instead. You can learn more about the full-time degree program by visiting the Psychology Department’s webpage.
