Japan (Asia 190 & INTD 196J)

Program Overview June 10 – 26, 2025

Experience Japan’s influence on architecture and design in person. The most prestigious honor in architecture, the Pritzker Prize, has been awarded to an unusually high number of Japanese architects. This program provides students with an exceptional learning opportunity to understand how and why Japanese cultural production remains a strong influence in contemporary architectural and design practice around the globe.

Payment

Cost: $4,929

Included in cost:

  • 3 units towards ASIA 190 & 3 units towards INTD 196J
  • International travel insurance
  • In-country transportation (including train in Tokyo-Kyoto)
  • Lodging
  • 2-day World Expo pass

*Cost does not include meals or round-trip airfare from the United States.
