You may check your eligibility for the PPSC program here

Am I eligible for this program?

You are eligible to apply if you answer YES to any of the following questions:

  • Will you graduate with your MSW from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited college or university in the spring?
  • Are you currently enrolled in the Sac State MSW program?
  • Do you already have your MSW from a CSWE-accredited college or university?

If the answer is NO to all of these questions, then, unfortunately, you are not eligible to apply.

Can I use hours from my MSW program?

If the answer is YES to ALL of these questions, then you may use your hours:

  • Were your hours completed in the last 7 years in California?
  • Did you complete school-based* fieldwork during your MSW program? (Including Advanced Standing students)
  • Were these hours completed under the supervision of someone with their PPSC in School Social Work?

If the answer is NO to any of these questions, then, unfortunately, you cannot use your hours.

*Must be in California public school settings: public preschool, elementary, middle, high school, charter schools, school district, County Office of Education, or SELPA. Private schools and contracted agencies are not valid sites. Hours must be supervised by a qualified person holding a PPS credential.
