Eligibility Requirements

This multidisciplinary major is designed for students who wish to complete their degree under the umbrella of Arts & Letters.

Minimum Admissions Requirements:

1. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
2. Completed at least 70 units of coursework (may be upper or lower-division units).

Preferred but not required:

1. Have coursework in a degree program that aligns with a program offered by California State University, Sacramento’s College of Arts & Letters
2. Completed all lower-division GE requirements for the California State University system at CSUS or another institution.
3. ​Have stopped out of college and are wishing to return

Application Process

To apply, please complete the application below and email it to tanji.holmes@csus.edu along with copies of your unofficial transcripts for each college you have attended.

Items to attach to the application include: 

• Unofficial transcripts from any college or university attended. 

Once we receive these items, we will review your materials to determine if you are eligible for Sacramento State. This will come in the form of an unofficial evaluation.
