Eligibility Requirements

This multidisciplinary major is designed for students who have stopped out in good standing from the pursuit of any major within the disciplines of Sacramento State’s College of Arts & Letters or a similar discipline at another university.

At the time of application, students must have met the following requirements:

1. Must have begun coursework in a degree program that aligns with a program offered by California State University, Sacramento’s College of Arts & Letters
2. ​*Must not have been enrolled at university for at least one academic year
3. Completed at least 70 units of coursework (may be upper or lower-division units).
4. *Completed all lower-division GE requirements for the California State University system at CSUS or another institution.
5. Have a minimum cumulative GPA not lower than 2.0.
   
   *If you do not meet this requirement you may apply for departmental permission by completing page 4 of the departmental application.

Application Process

To apply, please complete the application below and email it to tanji.holmes@csus.edu along with copies of your unofficial transcripts for each college you have attended.

Items to attach to the application include: 

• Unofficial transcripts from any college or university attended. 

Once we receive these items, we will review your materials to determine if you are admissible to Sacramento State. This will come in the form of an unofficial evaluation.
