This study abroad program to beautiful Costa Rica and Guatemala is designed to allow students to experience a unique culture first-hand and view a different society through the lens of health, risk prevention, and wellbeing. You will develop the knowledge and tools to be a more effective public health practitioner who views the world through a more comprehensive and culturally aware lens.

Payment

Cost: $3,730

Included in cost:

  • Course Fees: PUBH 190 (3 units) 
  • Travel Insurance
  • Airport pick-up and drop-off
  • Accommodation at three-star hotels and in local homestays
  • Meals: breakfasts (12); lunches (8) and dinners (8)
  • All fieldwork activities
  • In-country transportation (ground, water, air – including domestic flight in Costa Rica and one-way flight from SJO to GUA)

*Cost does not include round-trip airfare from the United States.
