Sac State’s CCE Master of Public Health Students Win Competition
On Saturday, Nov. 16, CSUS Healthcare Administration students and Master of Public Health (MPH) students participated in their first-ever California Association of Healthcare Leaders (CAHL) College Bowl Case Study Competition.
The Masters in Public Health Program is offered by Sac State’s College of Continuing Education (CCE). The program is designed to provide advanced training to address the health needs of diverse communities. Students learn how to enhance their practical skills for the implementation of health policies and promotional tools to reduce health risks and protect populations. They also gain the tools to work with legislators, health advocates and leaders in the profession to impact policies and regulations that affect public health.
For the event, students from across Northern California came to Sutter Health in Sacramento to compete.
We are thrilled to announce CCE’s very own MPH team took home first place in the graduate division. In addition, three CSUS Healthcare Administration teams competed in the undergraduate division and one team advanced to the finals and received second place in a very close competition.
All students who participated received 1-1 mentoring with a local healthcare administrator and also had the opportunity to network with all attending healthcare executives, CAHL staff and college professors.
All of us at CCE offer high fives and congratulations to the following students for their outstanding participation at the 2024 CAHL College Bowl:
