How Do I Pay?

Overview

Expenses

If you are coming to our program, we want you to know what to expect regarding course costs and what you need to consider about your living expenses.  The more you know, the better you can plan ahead.

Can You Afford the Paramedic Program?

The answer is yes — and there are a number of ways to do it.

These options can help you fund your education and your related expenses while attending the program.

Payment Schedule

There is not an official payment plan available for the program.  However, the university’s registration process offers a payment schedule that allows students to make four payments over eight months.

Since the program uses a cohort learning model, students are not allowed to take time out due to payment issues.  Students will be required to reapply for the program if they miss a term.

Here is a sample payment schedule:

  • Payment is due at time of registration. You must register and pay for each course by the first day of the class. A $25 late payment fee will be assessed for those who register/pay after the first day of the course.
  • Students are also responsible for paying any fees associated with their field internship agency.  This is approximately $1,000.

Please note: Fees, dates and times are subject to change.

Other Lenders

Additional funds may be available from private sources. There are websites offering scholarship database searches, many of which are free. In addition, if the information becomes available, we will send email notices to our students during the academic year regarding upcoming scholarship opportunities.

There are a variety of ways to obtain scholarship information on your own. One way is to check the reference section of college libraries. Typically, libraries have scholarship reference books that describe potential scholarship sources. Another possible way to find scholarships is to check with organizations in the area where you live or grew up: medical or EMS societies, hospitals, EMS agencies, EMS or hospital foundations, churches, clubs, veterans’ organizations, etc. This is a good way to locate funds which might not be on anyone’s list and are limited as to who can apply.
