Master of Science in Accountancy

The Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) program is in response to new developments in the accounting and business worlds. Significant changes in the regulatory climate, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, have increased the need for graduate-level education. The 150-credit hour education requirement established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) also has significantly increased the demand for graduate education in accounting.

The MSA Program is a collaboration between Sacramento State’s College of Continuing Education and College of Business.

This program is delivered completely online.

If you live outside of California, see if Sacramento State has secured authorization or exemption to enroll students from your state in its online programs.

At this time, no merit scholarships are available to new students. The MSA program does not provide graduate assistantships.

Financial Aid is processed through the College of Continuing Education (CCE) and may be available for students pursuing the online MSA degree. We recommend starting the financial aid process as early as possible by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). More information can be found on CCE’s Financial Aid page.
