Hornet Fast Track
Online and accelerated courses!

Pod

Hornet Fast Track is a new initiative at Sacramento State to offer accelerated, fully online courses for current and prospective Sac State students as well as members of the community. Accelerated and online classes are a great way for students to stay on track with their educational goals by providing greater flexibility to fit courses into busy schedules.

Spring 2026 Course Offerings

Spring 2026 courses and schedules will be announced soon!

Course Fees and Refunds

Courses are self-support, which means they are not covered as part of normal tuition or mandatory campus fees. Self-support fees for Hornet Fast Track are $320 per unit.

Fees are due 14 days after the course starts for current admitted students and are due at the time of registration for all other students.

Full refunds: If you drop before class starts, you will receive a full refund if you’ve paid, or have the full course fees removed from your account if you have not yet paid. A $10 processing fee will be assessed.

Partial Refunds: If you drop within the first 25% of an accelerated course, you will be eligible for a 65% refund if you’ve paid, or have 65% of the course fees removed from your account if you have not yet paid. The remaining 35% will remain due. A $10 processing fee will be assessed.

No Refunds: If you drop after the first 25% of an accelerated course, no refunds will be issued, and the full balance will remain due on your record if you have not yet paid.

How to Register

Current Sac State Students can register using My Sac State once Hornet Fast Track courses are open for registration.  Please check back for updates.

Not admitted to Sac State? You are still welcome to enroll!  Provided you meet prerequisites (if applicable), you can still enroll in Hornet Fast Track courses. Please contact us directly to register.

Add and Drop Policy

Accelerated courses have unique add and drop deadlines compared to full-semester courses on campus, given the compressed schedule. Please see our registration page for more information. In order to avoid receiving a “W” grade, you must drop before the unique census date of an accelerated course.
