Services to Students with Disabilities
The College of Continuing Education (CCE) and the Disability Access Center (DAC) at Sacramento State are committed to providing qualified students with disabilities equal access to their educational and vocational goals.
Students are responsible for submitting an application as well as current and relevant medical documentation, and for meeting with an Access Coordinator to discuss accommodation requirements. Once approved for course modifications or adjustments, students are responsible each semester, for sending the approved accommodation letters to faculty.

Policy Statement
Sacramento State is mandated to provide access to academic programs for students with disabilities consistent with all federal and state legislation and California State University system policies.
Reasonable accommodations, including auxiliary aids, will be provided to students with disabilities when necessary to ensure that they are not denied the benefits of, excluded from participation in, or otherwise subjected to discrimination in any academic program. The university’s goal is to provide an equivalent academic experience and learning opportunity, not to guarantee the outcome of the student’s educational endeavor.
Process
Accommodating students with disabilities is a collaborative effort involving CCE, DAC, staff, faculty and students. The full process for requesting accommodations is outlined on the DAC website.
Accommodating students with disabilities is conditional upon enrollment. It is the responsibility of the student to request a new letter of accommodation each semester.
Please note:
- Students enrolled in academic credit courses who have a student ID number and a SacLink account can submit their applications directly on the DAC student portal as outlined in the instructions on the DAC website.
- Students enrolled in CEU or non-credit classes must first request an enrollment confirmation at cce-onlinereg@csus.edu then email that confirmation to dac@csus.edu to request accommodations.
