Winter Intersession
Audience
- Continuing students enrolled in Spring 2026 and Fall 2026.
- Community members who are not formally admitted to the university or students who have been admitted to another college.
- Incoming Spring 2027 admits.

The Winter Intersession 2027 schedule will be available on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026. Check back often to see if courses have been added or changed.

Registration
Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, so register early!
Continuing Sac State Students
Registration begins on Monday, Oct. 26 via the Student Center on My Sac State.
All Other Students
- Registrations will be accepted starting on Monday, Nov. 9.
- Submit your completed registration form to CCECreditreg@csus.edu or in-person at Napa Hall.
- Registrations will be processed in the order they’re received, starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 9.
- Registrations submitted before Nov. 9, will not be processed.
- Once your registration is processed, you will receive a registration confirmation with payment instructions.
- Fees are due by Wednesday, Dec. 16, or you will be dropped from your course(s).
Late Registration
Late registration begins on Monday, Jan. 4, 2027. Instructor approval is required for all adds and drops. You may find the Winter Intersession Add/Drop form on OnBase in your Student Center. Late adds and drops will be accepted until Friday, Jan. 8, 2027.
Maximum Units
Students may enroll in a maximum of four (4) units during Winter Intersession.
Late Fee
A late fee of $25 will be charged for adds starting on Monday, Jan. 4, 2027.
Cost
Fees are $339 per unit for undergraduate courses and $393 per unit for graduate courses. Students may pay by credit card, check, or money order, made payable to Sacramento State. Failure to pay your fees by the due date will result in a hold being placed on your record and being dropped from your course
Fees are due Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2026. Failure to pay your fees by the deadline will result in being dropped from your course(s) on Friday, Dec 18.
Fees are subject to change.
Winter Intersession is self-supporting. No financial support is received from state or local funds.
Refunds
The deadline to receive a full refund of fees paid, minus a $10 processing fee, is Friday, Dec. 11.
Students will receive a prorated refund of 75% of fees paid, minus a $10 processing fee, when dropping a course between Jan. 4 and 5, and 50% of fees paid, minus a $10 processing fee, when dropping a course between January 6 and 8. No refunds will be issued after Friday, Jan. 8, 2027.
To obtain a refund, students must complete an Online Refund Form.
Class Attendance
A student who is absent from the first class meeting may lose the right to remain in the class. Students should contact the instructor before the registration deadline if they are unable to attend the first class meeting. Students are responsible for any information covered during their absence.
A student who has lost the right to remain in a class must formally withdraw/drop the class, adhering to the appropriate procedure and deadlines. Otherwise, the instructor will assign a grade of “WU” (which counts as an “F” in computing grade point averages) or “F.” Losing the right to remain in class does not exempt students from the refund schedule.
Class Cancellation
Although all possible care is taken in preparation for the Sacramento State Winter Intersession schedule, all classes, instructor designations, locations, fees, etc. are subject to change, correction, or cancellation. If a course is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances or lack of enrollment, students will be offered an alternative course or a full refund of tuition fees.
CCE reserves the right to discontinue, postpone or combine classes, and to change instructors. Every effort is made to accommodate our students’ academic needs. However, in the event that a class is canceled, it is automatically dropped from the student’s schedule.
If a class has been canceled and the student chooses to add another course in its place, they have the first week of the session to transfer the registration without paying the $25 transfer fee. The $25 transfer fee will be applied beginning with the second week of the session.
Grades
Grades will be available on My Sac State after the session has ended.

Official transcripts are available from the Registrar’s Office. Visit their website for more information about ordering transcripts.
Important Phone Numbers
Be sure to contact offices directly to determine their hours of operation. Not all offices maintain the same hours and may close earlier on Fridays. Evening students must follow all procedures and meet all deadlines as published in the class schedule.
