When Cynthia Strain went from teaching to counseling high school students, she wanted a greater understanding of dropout prevention. She enrolled in our program, earned the Dropout Prevention Specialist certificate and started working with her school to clarify strategies and revise policies to help students feel connected to their education and to improve their attendance. But Strain didn’t stop there.

She went on to become one of the instructors in our Dropout Prevention Specialist certificate program.”Successfully completing high school requires students to experience rigorous and relevant curriculum, rewarding relationships with adults and resiliency,” Strain said.
