Dean Guido Krickx accepts position at San Francisco State

It is with mixed feelings that we announce that Guido Krickx, dean at the College of Continuing Education (CCE) has accepted a new position as Dean of the College of Extended Learning at San Francisco State commencing April 1, 2016.

Since he joined Sacramento State in November 2011 as Dean of the College of Continuing Education (CCE), Dr. Krickx has been very instrumental in developing and implementing strategy critical to the role of the college in support of the broader goals of the division of Academic Affairs and the University. As Dean, he collaborated with and deepened ties between CCE and the colleges on campus that resulted in a number of new degree and non-degree programs through self-support including the new MS in Finance and the new international MBA in Singapore (College of Business), the new RN to BSN, and the new BS in Speech Pathology (College of Health and Human Services) to name a few.

In addition, he developed a number of initiatives for outside constituents including the development of a pilot apprenticeship program with the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency, the building of a three-tiered flexible-format professional development program serving front-line staff, managers, and executives in California’s workforce development industry, and the provision of subsidized practical training for over 1,800 transportation professionals in California’s cities, counties, and regional transportation agencies.

Dean Krickx has been a valued colleague and effective contributor to the continued growth of Sacramento State. We wish Dr. Krickx continued professional success in his new position at San Francisco State.  His last day on our campus will be March 4, 2016.
