It was only a drill!

If you were passing by the College of Continuing Education (corner of State University and College Town) over the weekend, you might have seen our emergency medical technician (EMT) students role playing as victims and others practicing their response to a mass-casualty emergency.

Nearly 50 students took part in the simulations, which tested their response to such mass emergencies as a school shooting, an explosion, and even a roller coaster accident, according to Becky Gallarda, one of the EMT instructors on the scene.

The nine-week course prepares students to become a certified EMT. To learn more, please visit cce.csus.edu/emt
